Working as a carer

If you are contemplating becoming a carer, here are some compelling reasons why you should join Corinium Care.

  • We are concerned solely with live in care and so have acquired an in depth knowledge of all aspects of this compassionate business.
  • We have a wide range of clients - from young disabled people to the elderly. All of them depend upon their carer.
  • Almost all our clients approach us through personal recommendation, which in turn indicates the high standard maintained by our carers.
  • A good carer often relies on the sympathetic support of the office and according to many of our carers we excel in this department.
  • Unlike our large competitors we know our carers personally and ensure as far as possible that we place them where they are happy.
  • We are based in a small town in the Cotswolds, one of the most attractive areas of the UK. Our Clients live throughout the southern half of England and Wales.

Our working philosophy as relates to:

The Carer

We seek to ensure that our carers have the personality and commitment essential to the well-being of our clients.

Selection

We adopt an equal opportunities selection policy. Each applicant is carefully assessed at interview having submitted 2 references beforehand.
The carer is appointed for a minimum 7 day period on a live in basis. You are fully informed of the routine and care aspects of the job before you go and are trained to cope with the needs of that particular client.

The Work

Carers are expected to look after our clients with the same compassion as they would a member of their own family by helping them perform the activities of daily living. Common sense, patience and a sense of humour are helpful ingredients in your personality!

Support

The managers regularly visit their clients whose welfare is monitored frequently. But most important - the office staff are always there to lend support and advice -  between 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. At other times and weekends we operate an emergency line for anyone who needs help.
