Homes in Zimbabwe
Corinium Care has adopted the charity Homes in Zimbabwe as its charity for the next year, and we very much hope that you will be able to join our campaign in some way in the coming months.
HIZ provides food and medicine to the elderly in Zimbabwe who are in desperate need because of the collapse of the economy.
Its army of volunteers feed 1800 people in residential homes who would otherwise starve. It runs a soup kitchen, provides fuel and delivers food parcels, and also cares for the elderly in their own homes.
We decided to support them because, as you may know, a lot of our carers come from Zimbabwe, and we’d like to give something back. They have told us what is going on and how desperate it is for pensioners who find themselves destitute.
The Corinium Care office staff are planning a host of fundraising activities.
In addition to fund-raising, Corinium Care is also taking on the challenge of filling a second container of necessary equipment and medication which is to be shipped to Zimbabwe. Please find below a list of what is so desperately needed in Zimbabwe and if any of you think you may be able to help in any way please let us know and we will arrange a collection.
